Some business news: Udemy has officially merged with Coursera, which means my courses now have the opportunity to reach an even larger audience of learners from around the world and connect YOU with those writers.
For current students, nothing but that changes. The courses, lessons, and community are still there, and as of right now, everything looks the same. What it does mean is that new students may begin discovering the courses, bringing fresh perspectives, questions, and experiences into the conversation.
I encourage you to log in and engage with the community when you can (found in the Q & A section of each page). Answer a question, welcome a new student, or share a bit about your own journey. Opportunities arrive from connecting with other creatives. If you find someone whose work or goals align with your own, consider following each other on social media, exchanging feedback, or exploring a collaboration. Many successful writing partnerships begin with a simple connection and conversation, but someone has to make the first move.
I also want to remind you that progress in online learning courses doesn't require hours of free time. Ten minutes a day may not seem like much, but ten minutes spent writing and learning is ten minutes moving closer to your goals. Small, consistent efforts add up fast. I just started getting my TEFL online and I love watching that course completion % go up each time I log in. How about you?
